Hi, there! I am a kind, fun, playful, and independent woman. My family and friends mean the world to me. My interests/hobbies include music, movies, swimming, singing/dancing, skating (ice and in-line), reading, photography, home decorating, live shows (comedy, concerts, plays, etc.), the ocean and the mountains, walking/hiking, and skiing. I possess old-fashioned values mixed with a modern spirit and open-mindedness. I can keep up with the boys pretty well as I grew up with three older brothers who always kept me humble... and sore from lots of wrestling matches... :=) I take good care of myself but I'm not bothered if I get dirty or my hair gets wet in the rain. I enjoy being social and nurturing my relationships with others, while also cherishing my time alone. I am a teacher of adolescents with special needs. Being the aunt of seven wonderful kids is a blessing in my life, and it's a blast being the biggest kid of them all when I'm with them! I feel it's more important to collect experiences and memories than material possessions. (Although splurging on an expensive pair of shoes is not beneath me... lol) I am not here to tell you how perfect I am, because I certainly am not. I am real, with flaws and faults, and I hope you are human like that, too! I easily laugh at myself and my quirks and enjoy good banter with someone. I am self-assured but comfortable being vulnerable, as taking risks is part of life and an opportunity for reflection, growth, and immeasurable rewards. I am who I am and allow others to be exactly who they are. It would be wonderful to connect with a man of character who is sweet, smart, caring, adventurous, honest, and who keeps his mind/body/spirit active and alive. I appreciate fun-loving and witty humor, and someone who smiles and laughs easily and often. Adversity has made you wiser and stronger rather than jaded.
