Traditional Girl Stranded in Liberal Manhattan

Ive been called an old-fashioned girl on more than one occasion; many of my friends tease me about being Donna Reed. While I don't entirely espouse a 1950s mentality, I am fairly traditional when it comes to my political opinions and VERY traditional when it comes to my desires in terms of dating. Though I am Ivy League educated, work in finance, and live in New York City, what I am looking for is a man with whom I can settle down and start a family. I'm what you might call a "110% person," trying to squeeze each and every drop out of everything I do. In other words, I'm one big bundle of passion. When it comes to my career, my relationships, my interests. Slightly less passionate about correct grammar (note the sentence fragments ALL OVER THIS PROFILE). Ive been working as a financial advisor for the past eighteen months after leaving a five-year career in advertising sales. Aside from career pursuits, I spend most of my time with family, friends, or baking in my kitchen. I'm very big on anything involving food, wine, or the arts. But I'm not one of those uptight elitists, rest assured. I am just as happy spending a night at Yankee Stadium or watching the game at an Irish bar over pints. I'm looking for an assertive, successful, and ambitious man who shares my traditional values. Someone who recognizes that a committed relationship is not mindless fusion of two people into one, shapeless mass that functions as a unit (ie. "WE liked this restaurant, WE liked this book, WE have all of the same opinions because we are no longer individuals), but rather a beautiful phenomenon whereby two independent people can form a partnership and make each other stronger and better.
